I’ve received some negative feedback from some blog readers that I’m only using the “RagnaBabes” as a marketing scam to entice players to play in Philippine Ragnarok (pRO) Valkyrie server. Wow, that really proves that you can’t please everyone. I don’t really need to make a marketing campaign for Valkyrie since I don’t even work for Level Up. In fact, Valkyrie server was already the highest populated server in all pRO (humans and bots yes) even before I started featuring the RagnaBabes. Some people don’t even check the facts before making accusations. xD

Anyway, today’s RagnaBabes is a regular comer at Valkyrie exclusive eyeball events. She’s another kick-ass chick priest (coined from Martha) who is balancing time between her studies and boosting her guildmates. Please give it up for, Minerva Mnemosyne!

What’s your real name?
Jayne Lois R. Orlina. I’d rather that people call me Yani though, or Momo-chan, since those are the names I use online. (My parents have this annoying habit of googling my name, you see.)

What was your original server?
pRO Sakray. I only started playing RO this April, albeit I did play the game around two years ago (I was in Loki then). I quit after two months because I got bored. Lol.

Why play at Valkyrie?
I honestly thought that I’d never find myself playing in Valkyrie. In the end though, I played for the sake of trying out the F2P concept. I already made a couple of new friends too, thanks to RB’s Valkyrie section. XD

What does Valkyrie server signify for you?
Honestly, I have never given it much thought. I didn’t know anyone there and it would divide my time for Sakray. But there was a time when there were a lot of issues in my guild - the wipe was near and a lot of the veterans were thinking of quitting, you see. I met Indulgence in RB when I was randomly spam- err, posting. He was really nice so I thought I’ll just try out Valkyrie for the heck of it, after all it’s F2P. X3

Are you going back to your original server eventually?
I might, if my old friends do. But that doesn’t mean that I’ll leave Valkyrie. I already have a lot of new friends here and I appreciate them as much as I do my friends from Sakray.

What’s the name and job class of your main character in Valkyrie?
My main character’s a priestess, Minerva Mnemosyne.

Are you active in any guild?
Yes, in Gate of Babylon.

Where’s your favorite hangout spot in Valkyrie?
In the hut southwest Payon. The view’s nice. XD

What’s your best memory from of Valkyrie server so far? (Give one or two and explain)
Hmm, if I had to choose… my best memory of playing in Valkyrie would be when my guildmates helped me level Min-chan (she was an acolyte then) in GH Abbey. I had a convention to attend to the week after Valkyrie was launched so I was 20 levels lower than the rest of them, I think (Can you imagine how pressured I was? XD). Also, I was really picky about choosing a partymate because I wanted to party with only the people I know. At first I was anxious that they’d leave because it was boring - we had to sit down a lot because my acolyte needed to regen sp. But they kept reassuring me that they weren’t bored and that they’d help me. I appreciate their effort a lot.
What’s your best memory from playing Ragnarok Online?
Back in Sakray, we used to do the Kiel Hyre Quest a lot. I really liked it whenever we got together and did that because we spend 7-8 hours just talking to each other while doing the quest. It was really fun. Another was when we did the Thanatos quest and spent like 15 hours on it because we made a mistake and had to go back to level 1. It was really tiring but in the end we finally summoned Thanatos. XD We were like, WTF? We did the quest for 15 hours and we killed Thana in what, 3 minutes? Sucks!!

Are you also playing other games if ever? What games?
Yes. Aside from Ragnarok, I’m currently addicted to Final Fantasy: Crisis Core (PSP) and RF Online.

Aside from gaming, what are your other endeavours in life?
Writing. Albeit, I haven’t been writing seriously for two years now. I blame schoolwork and Ragnarok. Lol! XD

What keeps you busy nowadays?
Schoolwork. I’m trying to aim for the top of our honor roll. I also have taekwondo training and violin lessons.

What do you think are the unique traits of a Valkyrian compared to players from other servers?
Honestly, I think Valkyrians are sorely addict- I mean dedicated and passionate people. XD I just CANNOT imagine myself spending loads of money for virtual items.

Who are your best buds in Valkyrie?
My guildmates in Gate of Babylon. We all treat each other like family. A few persons especially dear to me though are Gilgamesh, ~hershell~, Adrienne Niren Zenos, and Hiyoshi-maru. Gilgamesh was the person who invited me to Valkyrie and helped me level Minerva when she was still in her early days as an acolyte. ~hershell~, Adrienne Niren Zenos, and Hiyoshi-maru are like older sisters to me, helping me and giving me advice.

Any final words to the Valkyrians?
When they announced the release of Valkyrie, I have already speculated that it will be quite a buggy server at first, not only because it is new, but also because it is F2P. A lot has been changed; try to understand what they’re going through and be patient with them.
